The Horror Story of Danvers State Hospital, Massachusetts, AS

This mentally ill hospital was located in Danvers city and established in 1878. The rumour said that the hospital was the first one starting the pre-frontal lobotomy. It’s a procedure done by putting a small tube into the eyes cavity which connects it into the brain membrane.
It was famous in 1990s but it was risky so it was forbid by the government of the United States.
The hospital had some complicated tunnels and they were connected to some buildings. The tunnels were used to move the patients especially in the winter.
The hospital was actually designed for only 500 patients, but the amount of the patients was increasing in 1920. It had about 2000 patients at the time. Some of the staffs reported some of the morbid therapies done by the other staffs like carrying out the shock treatment or giving the high dose medicines.
The hospital was closed in 1991. Avalon Bay Development bought the building in 2005 to build an apartment, but it was stopped in 2007 because of a fire and nobody knew what caused it.
The hospital still remains until today and people use it for some supernatural activities.
